Snake oven

The Gemara on Bava Metzia 59 discusses the case of a tanur shel akhnai - a "snake oven" - that was made of separate pieces and then placed together with sand between the pieces. There is an argument in the Gemara as to whether the oven loses its status as an existing oven when taken apart and rebuilt or whether it is considered an oven throughout, since it was made to be taken apart in this way.
